In a nutshell

The author uses 12 verbs which are central for his prediction of the future for our civilization and explaining why those changes will be inevitable for our society

🔍 Top 3 insights:

Cognifying: AI will change every activity, every business model that we have known so far and will be the trigger for most of start-up that will pop up in the years to come
Flowing: Modern goods are intangible (e.g. video streaming instead of buying a DVD). In other words, modern goods are flowing and copied infinitely. Kelly claims that when copies are free, you need to sell things that cannot be copied. These uncopyable values are things that are better than free.
Tracking: The "Quantified Self" will allow us to know ourselves better than ever.

Recommendation:

In general, the book was really fascinating as the author managed to make predictions about the future of business, society and humankind as a whole without foreseeing flying cars or the like. The topics were explained well and accentuated with lots of examples. Concluding, the SIMConnect BookClub can wholeheartedly

recommend the book to anyone that is interested in what the future holds for us! 🔮
